Why I started it

I built the studio I wish these businesses had found first

I kept seeing the same story. A small business paying an agency a fortune in locked-in contracts, handed a monthly PDF full of graphs and no more phone calls than before. The model felt built to protect the agency, not the client.

Twenty years of improving processes teaches you one habit above all others: distrust the confident story and go and check the evidence. Most of the SEO sold to small businesses is the opposite, a convincing report with no honest number underneath it. I started Bantam to do it the way I would want it done for my own business, evidence first, in plain dollars, with nothing to hide.

So I built the opposite. A starting price published on the page, no lock-in, you own every account and every change, and if your site does not need the work, I tell you and walk away. That last part is the whole point: saying no when there is nothing to fix is what makes every yes worth trusting.

Every account, every page, every change, in your name. If you ever leave, you leave with all of it. No held logins, no hostage websites.

Ranges, not promises

I show you the spread and the assumptions behind every number, so you can judge it yourself. Anyone guaranteeing a number one ranking is bluffing, and I will not.

I will tell you to walk away

If your site is already doing the job, or the search demand is not there, I say so. I would rather lose the sale than sell you something you do not need.

The short version of how I got here

More than twenty years in IT, working across continuous improvement, process automation, digital transformation and change management, mostly inside large organisations. That is a career spent pulling apart how work really flows, spotting what is wasted, and rebuilding it to run leaner. Bantam Growth Studio is that experience turned on one specific problem: why good small businesses stay invisible in search. The automation side of that background is now on offer directly too, as straight-talking AI and automation advice.

Based in South-East Queensland, I work with small businesses across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. The work is delivered remotely, so where I sit matters less than whether the numbers are there for your business.
